Summer Prospects Four on Four League Overview

The purpose of these leagues is to provide children, who are serious about their game, with an opportunity to extend their season through June, July, Aug, Sept, and Oct. The primary goal of the leagues is to allow young hockey players a chance to play competitive hockey against other skilled players in an environment that will foster speed, creativity and ingenuity in their game. One of the secondary goals of the league is to allow children to play with players who are on opposition teams during their regular hockey seasons. Teams will be created with players from various associations on each team. We feel this random grouping of players is especially important and will promote fair play and good sportsmanship. Players and parents will get to know new team-mates and friends. Players will have the opportunity to play in a non-threatening, low pressure league where they can have fun and polish their skills.

The leagues will consist of four teams of 13 skaters + a goalie. The teams will be balanced (skill and age) as much as possible by the coaches prior to the league start up. The teams may be balanced again at some point during the summer if the coaches and league coordinator feel it is necessary . Players will be given equal ice time and power plays and specialty units will not be used. In order to speed up play we will change on the fly. All leagues will play Four on Four hockey.

PLAYERS WHO PLAY IN MINOR HOCKEY OR HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY FROM SUSSEX TO ST. STEPHEN ARE ELIGIBLE.

PAYMENT METHOD

Leagues enrolment will be on a first come first served basis. Full payment 225 $ must accompany this registration, as that is the only way to reserve a position in the league for your child. If you are in the Spring Atom or Pee Wee league your place will be held until June 10. After that date your position will be offered to another player.
